I would go out tonight, but I haven't got a stich to wear

I need to go shopping. I am quickly running out of clothes that fit me. It is so sad. Unfortunately, I can't go shopping until after the holidays, because I'm low on funds. But hopefully once January comes around, I will have enough saved up to hit up Forever 21 or something. That would be nice.

In the meantime, here are some of the outfits I wore in the past week.

Photobucket
Blazer, Target; shirt, Ann Taylor; skirt, Ralph Lauren; shoes, Gap

Photobucket
Sweater, Burberry; skirt, Etro; shoes, Steve Madden; necklace, from a craft fair

Photobucket
Dress, Gap; tights, K-Mart; shoes, Gap; necklace, Tarina Tarantino (courtesy of the Chickdowntown giveaway hosted by Take Me Out to the Runway)

Anyway, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had to work all day on Sunday and it was exhausting. But I managed to sneak a few fun things in as well. I had a girls night in with a couple friends, attended a Christmas party, and then got to spend some quality time with Rian, which is always nice.

Have a wonderful week!

  1. Hi Jennifer! The good thing with the shopping ban is you tend to be creative in your outfits. Just today, I raided my boys' closet to find something to wear and I came up with something and I still have more items to experiment with. Raid your BF's closet, it's the in thing to do with the recession and all.

  2. You look so adorable in your last outfit! I die! :)

Also, I am trying to enforce a shopping ban myself, but it's going so-so. Oh well!

  7. You are so pretty! I love your last outfit best (but maybe that's because you've got a huge smile on in the pic?) Shopping bans can be so hard :(

  8. It's such a pain when you don't have funds to go shopping - especially during the holidays. But January is such a huge time for sales, so you are destined to find amazing stuff then. In the meantime, you totally look adorable in this past week's outfits - those pink neon tights are fab!! :)

  9. Hi Sweet Friend!

You are so gorgeous and I love your outfits! Your tights are amazing!!

Just so you know you're not alone...I'd have so many clothes if I'd lose this ample ass of mine...sigh!

  11. Leah's right, the good thing with the shopping ban is you tend to be creative in your outfits. Why, just last night I raided Sandy's closet and.....uh, never mind.

    :)

Damn girl, those tights should have come with their own warning label! They're so bright my corneas are having trouble focusing. But nice outfits, and might I say it's always great to see that smile.

By the way does Steve Madden know you're wearing his shoes? WTF.

If I could ask for anything from you for Christmas it would be another e-mail. Miss them, but I know you're crazy busy.

Keep smiling Jen, and thanks for all your great comments. If I do write a book about my life you'll get your own chapter.

  12. I just love your ruffled blouse and also your skirt! And I always love your purdy, purdy hair :) I've been trying to cut down on shopping - in some ways I have, in others ways I've been terrible. I always shop when I'm stressed or bothered though so I need to work on that...
    Happy Monday, hon!

  22. I've been on a shopping ban for well over a month and I have yet to buy one thing. I forced myself to not buy anything until I lose the 13 pounds I gained over the summer. I then expanded the ban into no eating out except once a week. I named it the "I deserve no rewards" ban!!

Your last outfit is sosososososo cute!!!

And what Leah said, it's perfect being on a shopping ban, you just get so creative! My dirty habit is Thrifting, I love finding vintage finds in Charity Shops, they've lasted the last twenty years, so surely they can last another twenty! That's my attitude.
