Unreality Check

Something happened this weekend that made me so miserable, I literally wrote an entire blog post about how much I suck. It was brutal.

I didn't publish it because I decided I don't want to wallow in my misery. This blog is a place where I can get away from the stress of being me.

This blog is a place where I don't have to live in reality. I can be anything I want. I can do anything I want.

It's a place where I can eat fast food all day and not gain a pound.

It's a place where I can go to the beach any time I want.

It's a place where I look fabulous even while I'm doing chores.

It's a place where I kick ass.

It's a place where I'm not allergic to cats.

It's a place where I'm always fabulous.

It's a place where I can take risks without getting hurt.

It's a place where I feel beautiful.

It's a place where I have a lot of friends who will never leave my side.

It's a place where I have the best job in the entire world.

...I wish blog world was real world.

  4. im glad you didnt post it jen . you should be trying to tell yourselves that you are thebest. though it seems cheesy to do so. it actaully works if only temporarily.

sometimes i do wish that what i present in my blog was the real me . without all the bad stuff in my life.

  9. It sounds cheesy as all hell but if you can work on changing your perception - you can almost always feel just a little bit fabulous.

It's good to get the crap out though, I'm glad you did.

And those models eating those fries are pretty gross to me. They're waaayyyy too skinny. thin you enjoy life and be that skinny? Unless your metabolism has been invaded by aliens, or you have tapeworm...fast food is going to affect us all the same way, in the end. :)

    You are beaaauuutiful mama.

  16. I am loving your "kick ass" photo. I wish the blog world was real too. This weekend I found out some harsh news too! It was so embarrassing that I cried myself to sleep, and was so positive that the entire world was laughing at me.

  24. Sometimes we are our own worst critic. I totally get where your coming from. I wish I had a different life. I wish we could do what we want, and love. Life is so unbelievably unfair, and cruel sometimes. I need to remember to be thankful for all the wonderful things I do have. Hope you feel better soon.

  63. Jennifer-- I really want to thank you sincerely for your comment on my blog today. Sometimes, all one needs is someone to come along side her & say, "me too." I absolutely never expected anyone to say much to my post-- I really didn't think anyone would read the whole thing! But your supportive words meant so much to me, I really got emotional & read you comment again. Thank you!
