Golden Globe Gowns

Like millions of other people, I was glued to the television screen during the Golden Globes. My head was spinning during the red carpet special because of all the fabulous gowns. I seriously think this may have been the best-dressed Golden Globes red carpet in history. There was barely a "what was she thinking?!" in sight.

Here are my favorite looks:

Jennifer Lawrence gave a jaw-dropping performance in the critically acclaimed film, "Winter's Bone". Her fashion sense doesn't disappoint either. She looked stunning in this black and gray Louis Vuitton gown.

I'm a big fan of huge delicious puffy gowns. This midnight princess Marchesa gown, worn by Olivia Wilde, took my breath away.

Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss kept it classy with this elegant yet sexy emerald green Donna Karan gown.

Glee Queen Lea Michele waltzed down the red carpet in what looked like Barbie's dream dress. But you know what? I kind of fell in love with the Oscar de la Renta gown. It was fun and glamorous.

My favorite actress Anne Hathaway didn't disappoint in a stunning metallic bronze Armani Privé number.

Catherine Zeta-Jones looked like a queen in this flowing green Monique Lhullier gown.

Good ol' Angie mesmerized onlookers in this green Versace gown. With her exaggerated facial features, I understand that simplicity is her best friend when it comes to red carpet fashion. But, I really miss the pre-Brad Angelina who used to flaunt low-cut sparkly dresses and laugh delightfully on the red carpet. This whole ice queen fembot thing she has going on now scares the crap out of me...

Natalie Portman proves pregnancy doesn't have to get in the way of being the best dressed woman on the red carpet. This adorably unique Victor and Rolf gown was my favorite look of the night.

...so, who were your favorites?

I am currently writing up my golden globes post at the moment. Just uploading some photos as I write you a comment. I agree with you about elisabeth moss, olivia wilde, lea michele and definitely natalie portman. natalie's look was the best I loved it so much incredible. There were a few others I liked which I will post once I get around to it. I have to disagree with you about Catherine Zeta Jones and Anne Hathaway I actually didn't like those looks. I hated putting Anne Hathaway on the worst dressed list because I love her so much. I'm undecided about Angelina Jolie. I love the colour and sparkle but I don't really like the long sleeves.

Anne Hathaway is my favorite actress too and she looks STUNNING! Loving Lea Michele's pastel frilly number, too :)

I really loved Catherine Zeta-Jone's dress. Beautiful and flowing without looking like it was kind of from the mid 90s...which some of those dresses certainly reminded me of.

All of these were wonderful. Anne looked outstanding, and at first I thought Olivia Wilde's was too prom dress-ish but the more I looked at it, the more I fell in love with it. I mean who am I kidding, it sure beats the polka dot robe I was wearing while I was watching the awards show.

Angelina looked pretty, but I miss the slutty black dresses she used to wear, too. She used to be so much fun.
I think I am the only one not peeing herself over Anne Hathaway's dress. I thought the sleeves were too big and the color all wrong for her skintone. I was not impressed at all.
Lea Michele was damn cute, as always, in her Oscar de la Renta, and Eva Longoria looked like a Latina bombshell hottie.
