I'm sorry I'm not sorry

A few people were a little irked about my blog from a few days ago ("My friend has a stalker"). Unfortunately for them, I have no apologies.

Kerrie approved the blog before I wrote it. And there is nothing in that blog post that her stalker doesn't already know. In fact, he or she already knows a lot more personal stuff about Kerrie than I have ever posted on here. (We know that from the letters she received).

After all, we are talking about someone who has googled Kerrie for months. They found her home address, her e-mail address, her parents' names, her facebook, and her blog. The internet is a cesspool of personal information about people from our generation. Whether you like it or not, fragments of your life are caught up in the web, so easy for anyone to find.

So my saying in my personal blog that Kerrie has a stalker and saying I'm concerned about her really isn't anything new to her stalker. It's just me being a concerned friend and letting all my other friends around the world know what is going on in my life. Because Kerrie is a huge part of my life.

And I'm not going to pretend this isn't happening to her.

Oh Jenny, you have been the best friend ever through all of this.
You are really like a sister.
I just wanted to thank you for lending me a shoulder to both lean and cry on.
Thanks again.
:)

Lets' all start up a nice fight about nothing...as if I don't have enough to deal with having a stalker...

Paul, Kerrie approved the topic before I wrote it. If she's unhappy about it, she has never told me.

I have seen all the letters.

I am not putting more information out there about Kerrie that her stalker doesn't already know. That's absurd.

Paul, I have talked to Kerrie about it. She is not upset. I talked to her yesterday afternoon, in fact.

I have absolutely no idea why you think she is upset. That makes no sense to me. You have the disadvantage of being the boyfriend in this scenario. If you say you're upset about it, of course she's going to agree. Any girlfriend would. But I know she's not. Trust me.

Your school reference confused me. Where in the blog did I say where she went to school?

What information in that blog did I give that the stalker didn't already know? I never provided her home address, I never provided her blog address, I never provided her facebook, I never provided her e-mail address. I never provided her age. I never provided her hometown, I never provided her church name, etc. I never even provided her last name! Please tell me what vital information I am revealing about Kerrie that is making you so upset.

The personal information in the letters I was talking about was that the person knew Kerrie's address, and they knew certain activities she does (some involving YOU). I'm not going to list them because I'm not interested in embarrassing you at the moment.

The only thing I revealed that the stalker probably didn't know is the members of Kerrie's family who reside at her home. Oh, and the fact that she lives across from a cop. And the fact that she WANTED people to think she had security cameras installed around her house in order to scare the stalker away. But you messed that one up (which is why Kerrie is so upset. We discussed it. I know that's hard to believe).

Kerrie has my permission to give you my gmail address.

PS. Please quit saying Kerrie is upset. I will not believe it until she tells me. And if that ever happens, she will have some explaining to do.
