...and I'm back.

Thank you to everyone for being so supportive and kind to me during this horrible time. The only reason I am surviving right now is because of friends like you.

I'm sorry for being MIA the past week. I've just been so depressed and needed to take a break from blogging to collect my thoughts.

The next two months are going to be extremely difficult because finding a job right now in this economy is practically impossible. I might have to move back home if I don't find anything and that make me very nervous. It took me a very long time to get the courage to leave home two years ago. It was a physically abusive and mentally abusive environment.

On a happier note, a lot of my blogging friends have been bestowing all sorts of awards upon me the past week. How cool is that?!

My sweet friend Sandy, from Getting Fit and Loving It, gave me the Over The Top Award. She is such a beautiful person and a great inspiration to me. Please check out her blog!

I'm glad the comments uplift your spirits, girl. I understand about the moving back in with parents--I moved out of my parents' house when I was 14 for those specific reasons, and I'll be damned if I have to go back.
I hope that you can find a job to support you soon.
Good luck and take care.

My Dearest Jennifer,

I, have actually been to the depression factory myself and I know how you feel.
If you must move back (which is okay to do- I mean..like taht quite says " sometimes have to take a step backwards in order to step forwards." - However, Is there a friend house of other family relatives you could stay with? If the last environment you were living in was abusive and painful in any way whatsoever, PLEASE DONT GO!
- Besides all the crasiniess that life puts us through- we always want to make things better not worse chika.
In any case, I am glad you opened about this in your blog- you should never go through your problems alone- I havent yet met you in person yet I would gladly do anything to see you get back into "Fabulous-Mode"!
You're amazing Jen! Your writing is captivating and I would never want lifes experiences to bring you down- Jennifer, I ..your bloger friend will not give up on you- especially since ive been in the same situation.

Please..let me know if there is anyway I can help ;)

Congratulations on the blog award and good luck with the job search. I completely understand what it's like when moving back in with your parents is the worst of all possible options. My home environment wasn't the best either. Here's hoping you find something sooner rather than later.

By the way, thanks for visiting my blog. I'd really appreciate it if you'd stop by again to vote in my poll. I'm thinking of making some changes. :-)

You are so freaking talented it kills me. I'm not sure I could make a secret as cool, but I definitely wanna try! Count me in for the project! :)

The thing I like about the secrets other people make for me is that they look nothing like mine, everyone has a different take on and that is so fascinating. I really look forward to seeing it, just let me know when it is completed (the 200th secret post will be next Friday I think) and we can figure out sending it.

Oh, to move back in with the parents... I moved out when I was 18, and supported myself completely through college. Graduated, moved to another state to find my birthmother. My mother begged me to come live with the family in an entirely different state. There were still five young children at home. I had no money. I was in a depression. Hadn't found my birthmother. All my college friends had moved away, and my mom wanted me, right?

So I went after five years of living on my own, completely independent.

It was probably one of the hardest times of my life moving back there, for the same reasons you mentioned in your family situation. BUT, guess what happened?

Okay, so my mom was furious with me because I went out on Valentine's instead of staying home and doing the laundry before her company came. When I arrived home, she had a note for me, telling me I was a bad example of disobedience and that she was kicking me out in two days.

I was shocked. Trying so hard to be "good" and loving. My boyfriend, who lived in a different state, came to get me and take me to his state. (I didn't want him to think I was following him around, so I always lived away from him, lol. A pretty strong feminist streak).

SO... Within of few months of living there, I met my future husband, who I am entirely smitten with to this day.

I look back upon that entire turn of events in amazement and WOW. What gifts lie in store we just can't see... (And due credit to my mother, she admitted years later to being in a really bad place).

You will be okay. It is really quite an experience to move back home into those circumstances. You are a different person now, and if you go, you will be able to exercise your new skills there, and learn stuff. Not always "yay, how fun is this" stuff, but good stuff nonetheless.

Keep us posted. I'm here totally rooting for you, girl.

Melanee said...

P.S. By all means, if another opportunity opens up for you to move somewhere else, do it. :)
