Everything looks perfect from far away

I wish...

I wish I had long legs.

I wish I could go to the beach.

I wish I had more confidence.

I wish I was a little more glamorous.

I wish I had money to burn.

I wish I had a sister.

I wish I took more risks.

I wish I was a little more wild.

I wish I had a maid.

I wish I could eat junk food all day and never gain a pound.

I wish I could travel around the world with my best friend.

I wish I could fly away.

But most of all I wish I didn't wish for any of these things. Because then my life would be perfect.

Yeah, who needs a perfect life? That's so boring!!! Hahaha!

Happy Tuesday Jen! xoxo

oh and i JUST saw this on michellephan's youtube site and i thought it as appropriate to share

"being happy doesn't mean everything is perfect. it means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections."

I wish you were closer.

There are SO many things about you that amaze and inspire me Jennifer. You're beautiful to me just the way you are.

I have long legs and live 10 minutes walk from the beach.. yet I wish for so many things that I cannot have. We all want what we haven't got ha!

I too, wish I had a sister.

Beautiful post and images. I think if you really wish these things you should make it your goal to do one of them this year. I made a list a couple of years ago and have been scratching at least one thing off per year - it's been an amazing ride!

Julie @ ROJ Running said...

I really like when you use so many images....like a picture book

You and I might be the same person. I could have written this word for word. Beautiful images.

I wish you were closer too.
And I wish it was Spring ... Summer would be better. :)

I also wish I had long legs! and having a sister, and of course eating junk food without gaining a single pound. but I guess if I had them I would wish for something else more! Humans are never satisfied, huh? I'd rather keep wishing than having nothing to wish of because it would be boring haha.

oh, and you're perfect just the way you are ;)

Beautiful pictures and beautiful wishes...I have a sister and I realize I need to be more grateful that I have her. Some of your wishes can be turned into reality. Go For It! I believe in you!

.......come down now, but we'll stay.

I totally get this post. I love the song such great heights by iron and wine, and have errantly wished for a lot of those things...but when I *really* think about it... I've got it pretty good and am pretty happy to play with the cards I've been dealt.

"I wish I was a little bit taller. Wish I was a baller..."

Love the post and the sentiments behind it. We all can agree with that I think. Some of those I bet you can change, small steps!

Chicago Chic said...

I love your thoughts Jennifer because I think we can all relate to them. We all wish different things, we all want things to be different that we can't change. It is very difficult to forget about what we cannot change and to be content with the way things are. When I think these thoughts, I realize I guess life isn't really about what I want. Earthly posessions will all fade away, so will physical beauty, fame, and all the riches in the world. Although no one can help wishing for them!!!

Wow you really make me think! :)

Oh Darling, you are FABULOUS! I always wished I had a sister too, but I have my girlfriends and they are even better :) AND don't we all wish we had legs like those! In all fairness she's got huge heels on and someone pays her to workout so her legs stay like that! When someone pays me to hit the gym I will look like that too!

. . . I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they're perfectly aligned
And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
Puzzle pieces from the clay
True, it may seem like a stretch, but
Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled
Head when you're away when I am missing you to death
When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home.

I hope the title reference was to "Such Great Heights" ? LOL
:)
i love this post. i completely agree.

We are so much alike girl that it's unbelievable! I spent basically all of today wishing. But people can make their dreams come true! I think you are amazingly glamorous & to have the confidence you have to blog is soo inspiring to me!!

The perfect world, hmmm. I got a friend who gets everything she wants, does anything she wants & seems to have everything she ever wished. She's one of the most miserable people I know tho. It's almost like she can't get happy. I think its better to live in an un-perfect world because those days where things happen to be perfect will be extra amazing. hehe. =)

Seriously Jen thank you for being you!

such is life, right? you can totally do some of those things...maybe not the sister, the eating and not getting fat, having a maid...but you can take risks, be more glamourous, be a little more wild and confidant. because being is so much more fun...

oh and you can totally have longer legs, buy a pair of 5 inch nude platform pumps and some high waisted skirts and pants, instant long legs ;)
