I am grateful

I am so sorry for being MIA lately. I had to chug out two extra days worth of work into this week because of the holiday weekend. It has been so insanely crazy and stressful. I am really looking forward to relaxing this weekend.

Since today is Thanksgiving, I decided to share some of the things I am grateful for in life. I feel like I complain a lot. The past year has been extremely difficult. But despite everything, I don't have it as bad as I could.

I have a family who loves me, friends who are there for me, a boyfriend who adores me, and a roof over my head. I am grateful for so many things.

I am grateful for my FAMILY

Unfortunately, I have never met my father's family in India. I don't even know their names or who they are. But my mother's side of the family has always been there for me. I love them so much. I only wish I lived closer to Chicago, so I could see them all the time.

(My grandmother)

I am thankful for my BOYFRIEND

I have loved Rian for more than three years. He is my best friend and soulmate.

I am thankful for my FRIENDS

[Insert photo of yourself!!]

I am also thankful for the following RANDOM THINGS

Bunnies

James Franco

Bubble baths

Cupcakes (faint)

What are you thankful for?

Hi Jen,
This is taken from my November 6th post "Life's Ebb and Flow". I've changed it slightly.

I’m thankful for having my life spared last year that I may experience and appreciate the amazing things which surround me every day:

-for the love of a beautiful wife, my family and friends
-for spectacular sunrises in brilliantly-coloured fiery hues of pink, orange and purple
-for all the things I don’t like. I may not enjoy them, but I cannot ever forget how lucky I am for the chance to still be alive to experience them.
-for brilliant minds who share their vision and hope
-for caring hearts who give selflessly and catch my fall, should I stumble
-for poetic souls whose prose, passed down through centuries, make love to my mind with words of wisdom, passion and eloquence. What an amazing gift this is.

I’m thankful for all of my blogging friends. For the bravery they've shown by baring their souls and allowing me to share in their lives. It truly is a privilege that I'll never take forgranted. And I'm thankful to be able to convey all my sappy, melancholy sentiments to all of them. Including (of course!) you.

Great post Jen!

Same here... I am so thankful for my family - the best people you hang out with! I am also thankful of the people, though I've never met, I am able to communicate with through the net. Thanks to technology, too. There you go! :)

Hope your thanksgiving is full of great blessings! :)

It's funny the number of people who've slowed down on their blogging lately -- do you think it's the general dreariness of this time of year?

Love the list of things you're thankful for.

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I would have to say I am so thankful that I was able to get together with my whole family this Thanksgiving, because next year I am going to be away at Graduate School and not able to come home until Christmas. So, I am thanking God that all was wonderful this holiday. :)
